It has been 16 years since Maple Hill Farms began with the purchase of a small farm in the Berkshire Hills on the New York/Massachusetts border. We have enjoyed life on the farm and the countless pleasures it has afforded us.

Both Larry and my work schedules prevent us from taking advantage of the farm on a full time basis, and with Larry on the road at least two weeks per month, more often than not we seem to be missing out on some of the primary advantages life on the farm offers.

As our work remains constant, we feel it is time for something to change in our lives, and as such, we have decided to sell our Llamas and horses and to seek a buyer or a renter for the farm.  This has not been an easy decision for us; in fact, it is one that has taken more than two years to make.  We cherish the friends we have made in the Llama community; they remain our closest friends, and we intend to maintain these friendships.

We have a number of outstanding Llamas available for purchase, most of whom are proven producers.  They have placed in the Top 10 at events like the Celebrity World Futurity and the Llama Futurity Association, not to mention countless ALSA champions, ROM’s etc.  I will be posting our sales list on our web site along with the price that we are asking.

In addition to a number of outstanding Llamas, we have a tremendous amount of supplies, from heated water buckets, grooming chutes, circuteer vacuums, 4 wheelers, John Deere Gator, tractor, etc. All of these items are available for sale.  I will post photographs of the equipment we have available on the web site as well, as soon as we get enough sunshine in New England and the wind chill factor rises to  a more bearable level than this past weekend.

We plan to remain active in the Llama community; I will continue to judge and to serve on the Board of Directors of the LFA.

We are not closing the book on our lives with Llamas, simply opening another chapter.
